Automechanika Birmingham shortlisted for two AEO Awards

18 May 2020

Messe Frankfurt UK are proud to announce that they have been shortlisted for two prestigious AEO awards, for the UK’s leading trade exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and supply chain sector, Automechanika Birmingham.

Automechanika Birmingham has been shortlisted for Marketing Campaign of the Year and Best UK Trade Show – more than 8,000sqm. The AEO (Association of Event Organisers) awards represent the finest that the event industry has to offer.

Show Director of Automechanika Birmingham, Jack Halliday, added “It’s great that Automechanika Birmingham is once again shortlisted for not one, but two categories at this year’s AEO awards.  We are happy to be amongst some great finalists and are all looking forward to celebrating with the best in our industry”.

Last held in 2019, Automechanika Birmingham was hailed a record-breaking success, attracting more than 12,000 visitors from the UK automotive industry, the highest ever attendance.

Over 500 exhibitors from 23 countries attended the largest industry gathering of the year, with 120 new suppliers showcasing their products to a fully receptive market. The show brings together a national audience, with 90% of the 12,145 visitors who visited being from the UK.

The Automechanika Birmingham team have won AEO Awards in the past. In 2017 they won both Best Trade Show over 2,000 sqm and Organiser Team of the year, and in 2018 won Best Trade Show under 8,000 sqm.

The winners will be announced at the award ceremony, now to take place in December.
